Want to be a champion for effective diabetes policy? You’re in luck. The Diabetes Foundation will host the very first MasterLab, July 2, 2014 at Marriott’s Orlando World Center in Orlando, Florida! We are excited to offer the first of its kind, action to amplify diabetes advocacy. If you don’t have a background in diabetes advocacy, that’s ok! No previous experience needed.
The MasterLab will last from 7am to 5pm and will encompass a diverse background of advocates and industry experts. Get the chance to meet familiar advocates like Kelly Close and Adam Brown of DiaTribe and Kerri Sparling from SixUntilMe; obtain knowledge from advocates of other conditions like Mike Mangianello, an HIV/AIDS activist and partner at HCM strategists. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to connect with a panel from some of our favorite companies like Dexcom, Roche, Lilly, Sanofi, Medtronic and even a representative from the FDA.
For only $50 per person, you will participate in empowering sessions, broaden your understanding of the patient and create a formula for successful diabetes advocacy. Oh! Did you think we’d let you go hungry? No worries! MasterLab will serve a complementary breakfast and lunch along with a free sample of our favorite calorie-free soda, Zevia. This will be a fun and exciting class with likeminded advocates. Get ready to learn what advocacy looks like and how to act on it effectively.
Diabetes Hands Foundation offers this MasterLab in collaboration with Children with Diabetes (CWD). Registered participants in CWD’s Friends for Life conference are welcome to join the MasterLab as part of their experience at no additional cost. Separate registration for the MasterLab is required.
We know you’re interested in MasterLab so don’t delay! There is limited space and class is right around the corner.
