Corinna has been on both sides of the fundraising desk, as a grassroots grant writer/fundraiser and as a federal grant administrator at the state level.
She brings strong project management and communications skills to the Diabetes Hands Foundation, which she developed over her wide ranging career. Corinna’s professional experience includes management positions in grants management and marketing communications. She has worked in education, government, high tech, publishing, and software. She holds degrees in Marketing and International Relations and has completed training in grant writing, grant management, and organizational development.
Diagnosed in 2009 with type 2 diabetes, Corinna was surprised to realize how little she knew about diabetes. She went looking for a community of people living with diabetes who could help her learn more by sharing their day-to-day, real-life experiences. She found that community online at TuDiabetes.org.
Beginning in summer 2011 she joined our fundraising team as a volunteer. Through her work with the Diabetes Hands Foundation Corinna has helped us secure funding and administer grant programs. She officially joined our staff in August 2012, and in January 2015 she was promoted to Director of Operations and Development.
