The Diabetes Hands Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that connects people touched by diabetes and raises diabetes awareness.
The roots of DHF go back to 2006, when the idea of creating a social network for a higher purpose was born, later turning into TuDiabetes.org®, our first online community. EsTuDiabetes.org (a sister community in Spanish) followed, along with our first diabetes awareness program, Word In Your Hand, which was born within the community.
TuDiabetes.org® started in March 2007, becoming the first social network focused on diabetes. EsTuDiabetes.org, launched in August 2007, has become a top destination for people searching for support and information about diabetes in Spanish. Today, TuDiabetes and EsTuDiabetes offer diabetes support and information to more than 150,000 people every month.
